Homeowners want more breathing room, that is a distance from their neighboring homes. Based on a California Association of Realtors Survey, breathing room was the MOST important exterior feature over driveway, paint color, finishes, etc.
Owners want more yard, which applies to young, old, parents, and non-parents - across all generations.
